They are dynamic, “living” documents – they must evolve over time with changes in the law, best practices, and an organization’s unique culture and strategic goals. In addition, employers with multi-state workforces have special challenges in maintaining compliant and comprehensive handbooks. Handbooks that have not been reviewed or changed in more than a couple of years are due for some updates!
