Jon B. Sparkman, Esq., CPA
Jon is a shareholder and president of the firm. He represents businesses of all sizes in tax planning as well as audits and administrative appeals of NH tax matters before the State of New Hampshire DRA. Jon's business law practice also involves representing small to medium-sized businesses, from startup to eventual sale, providing advice with respect to formation and financing, growth and expansion, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Maurice P. Gilbert, CPA, MST
With more than 40 years of tax experience- 25 years of which were with the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration in various roles, including director of the audit division- Maurice provides businesses and individuals advice on federal and state tax planning relating to mergers, acquisitions, or the sale of a business by identifying potential tax compliance issues as Devine Millimet's Director of State Taxation. He represents individuals, corporations, partnerships, and LLCs before the IRS and State Departments of Revenue on various tax matters. Maurice's knowledge of the ever-changing tax laws and regulations help him determine a client's actual or potential multistate tax exposure, and his experience in New Hampshire's unique tax provisions is especially valuable to the construction, real estate, technology, hospitality, and manufacturing industries navigating the state's tax requirements.
Jason E. Cole, Esq., CPA
Jason is a shareholder of the firm who focuses his practice in the areas of corporate, tax and non-profit law including federal and state tax, unique tax-exempt issues, health care, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. Advising both non-profit organizations, including those with a religious affiliation, and closely-held businesses in a variety of industries, Jason’s serves hospitals, physician practices, state area agencies, long-term care, higher education institutions, credit unions, and national non-profit organizations.
